Referral Process for Health Care Professionals

We welcome referrals from primary care providers, nurse practitioners, midwives, and specialists for gynecology and obstetrics consultations.

All gynecology and obstetrics referrals in Saskatchewan are managed through the Referral Management System (RMS). Referring providers must complete the RMS referral template and fax the completed form to 1-855-355-1921.

Referrals can be submitted as either:

• Direct Referral: to a specific gynecologist or obstetrician.

• Pooled Referral: to the next available gynecologist or obstetrician.

Once a referral is accepted, the referring provider will be notified, and the patient will be added to the specialist's wait list. Referrals are triaged based on the patient's diagnosis and the clinical urgency of the referral to ensure timely access to care.

If a referral is declined or redirected, the referring provider will also be notified.

​NOTE: Referrals that are sent to our office directly and not through RMS will not be accepted.
